These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings made and services offered through the Zealandier Tours of New Zealand website www.zealandiertours.com and to bookings made by telephone, email, or any other communication mechanism.
Carriage of Goods
Zealandier Tours of New Zealand products and services are sold subject to the Carriage of Goods Act 1979 alongside the terms and conditions set out on Zealandier Tours of New Zealand website. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by the conditions of use listed below.
Conditions of Carriage
Zealandier Tours of New Zealand (or any of its contractors) may refuse carriage if you have acquired any services in violation of the carrier’s Conditions of Carriage or Terms and Conditions, or if you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or if the driver feels that there is any safety concern in regard to the transport of the client or their baggage.
Zealandier Tours of New Zealand undertakes to use its best efforts to carry you and your baggage within a reasonable timeframe in accordance with the itinerary that has been agreed between Zealandier Tours of New Zealand and its customer but does not guarantee to do so.
The customer acknowledges that in the event of any environmental “Acts of God“ (earthquake, flood, bad weather or any other naturally occurring emergency events) or operationally disruptive events (unforeseen traffic congestion, civil event disruption, unforeseen traffic, road works, accident or any other disruptive events) arise, that – whilst employing its best efforts to deliver transport services to you during such events – Zealandier Tours of New Zealand may not be able to provide the timely delivery of services to our customers.
In such events, all Zealandier Tours of New Zealand customers acknowledge that should such unforeseen events arise, it is your sole responsibility to monitor such events and make changes to your travel plans with Zealandier Tours of New Zealand or other transport providers to mitigate any such risk these events present to your travel plans.
Zealandier Tours of New Zealand reserves the right to substitute any vehicle or carrier without any prior notice to customers if it is needed.
Zealandier Tours of New Zealand also reserves the right for any change, modification or to waive any terms and conditions listed on the website.
All customers are required to pay their fare prior to the start of their travel. Payment can be done by internet banking or credit card. If paying by credit card, a 3% surcharge will apply.
Travel time and delays
Zealandier Tours of New Zealand or our employees or drivers are not responsible for the delays in anticipated arrival due to bad weather, traffic or road conditions, or any unforeseen incidents on the day of travel. We reserve all rights to cancel or amend or refund the reserved booking fee prior to scheduled pick up time. We will monitor flight times and endeavour to accommodate late arrivals – where possible.
Customer Contactability
You must provide Zealandier Tours of New Zealand with a telephone contact number for the purposes of facilitating your service leading up to and at the time of transfer.
For a booking with non-airport pickup point, passengers must be contactable in the 2-hour period immediately prior to the booked pick-up time on the same contact number provided at the time of booking. If you are not contactable on your designated phone number, Zealandier Tours of New Zealand will not be liable for any costs, damages or losses that you may incur as a result of not meeting the agreed travel time.
On Board Behaviours
All passengers are obliged to remain seated whilst the vehicle is moving and ensure your seat belt is fastened.
Smoking, eating, or consuming alcohol is not permitted in any of Zealandier Tours of New Zealand vehicles.
Luggage Policy
All customers are required to advise the correct amount of baggage they intend to travel with at time of booking. Failure to which may incur additional charge, or they may have to organise another vehicle as an alternative.
Each passenger is allowed one piece of luggage, not weighing more than 23kg with maximum dimensions of Depth: 280mm, Width: 460mm, Height: 750mm and one small airline carry on item (Such as purses, laptop cases, briefcase, small suitcases & backpacks.)
Dangerous Goods Prohibited
For safety reasons, articles such as the following must not be carried in your baggage unless they have been advised in writing to Zealandier Tours of New Zealand and it has in writing accepted them for carriage:
Unacceptable Items of Carriage
The following items should not be included in your baggage and Zealandier Tours of New Zealand accepts no liability for their damage or loss unless the items are identified to them and has produced a written acceptance of their carriage:
Animals
Zealandier Tours of New Zealand will allow a Guide Dog to ride with its owner if this is required – but previous arrangements must be made.
We do not, under any circumstances, allow other animals to be transported on any of our vehicles.
Fares
Fares apply only for carriage from the designated pickup point to the designated drop-off point, unless otherwise expressly stated. Fares do not include any possible credit card payment fees or bank transaction fees (if this is the chosen method of payment), meals, entry fees or any other additional service costs unless otherwise expressly stated by Zealandier Tours of New Zealand
Cancellation, No Show and Refund Policy
All booking cancellations will incur a minimum cancellation fee equating to $50 if cancellation is made within the 24-hour period – your funds will not be refundable.
If you fail to show at your pickup point you will be charged for 100% of the total fare amount except in the following circumstances:
Your flight at an airport and your flight arrival time has been changed (in which case Zealandier Tours of New Zealand will make its best efforts to meet your amended flight arrival time).
However, if you do cancel within 48 hours of your trip, we should be able to waive the cancellation fee, but this is up to the discretion of Zealandier Tours of New Zealand.
If you need to change your booking – there will be no fee and you will be supplied and open dated ticket valid for up to 12 months.
Unaccompanied Minors
Zealandier Tours of New Zealand will not accept bookings for unaccompanied children.
Child Passengers
If you are travelling with children, you are welcome to provide & use your own child safety and / or booster seats in our vehicles and you will be required to fit & install this yourself.
Should you require us to provide a child safety and / or booster seat – we are open to talk about this.
Passenger Mobility
Passengers who require somebody to lift them on and off the vehicle must arrange for these services by a third party at their pickup and drop off points. For Health and Safety reasons, drivers are not permitted to participate in carrying passengers on and off the vehicle.
Important Information
While all care is taken to ensure that our vehicles are maintained and serviced to the highest standard, we cannot guarantee that there will not be a situation beyond our control, such as traffic, accidents, vehicle break downs, weather events, natural disasters etc, thus, the customer needs to ensure that when they choose a time for us to collect them, they take the latter into consideration.
If in the unfortunate or rare event, that the vehicle does break down, and the fault cannot be rectified in a timely manner by AA Roadside assistance, we will cover the full costs of an emergency Taxi or Uber to take you to your destination, however it is important to note, as per our Terms and Conditions, we do not accept liability for any disruptions to your travel plans and the possible subsequent additional monetary expenses that you incur.
Extent of Liability
Passengers are solely responsible for their carryon items, and these should be in their possession all the time. Zealandier Tours of New Zealand or any employee or drivers on duty are not liable for the loss or damage of such items.
Zealandier Tours of New Zealand will not be liable for the damage of any customer items that are used by the customer in the vehicle during and after transit.
Passengers must report to the Zealandier Tours of New Zealand office in writing within 7 days of their trip if their checked baggage are lost or damaged significantly. However, Zealandier Tours of New Zealand reserves all the rights to check the reasons behind the loss or any significant damage to the property.
Zealandier Tours of New Zealand fully recommends travel Insurance for all passengers.
The liability of Zealandier Tours of New Zealand for damages resulting by reason of the personal injury or death of a passenger will be excluded in accordance with the Accident Insurance Act 1998 and the Accident Insurance (Transitional Provisions) Act 2000.
If a customer acquires, Zealandier Tours of New Zealand products or services for the purposes of a business, the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 will not apply. No other warranties either express or implied by law are made with respect to these services.
Privacy Policy
Zealandier Tours of New Zealand or its employee or designated drivers are committed to protect our customers’ privacy. However, we use the passenger’s information (provided at the time of booking) to secure their booking.
